WILLIAM H. ATWILL, JR. Education: Military Service: Professional Service: Bill Atwill chairs the firm's litigation practice group. Admitted to the bars of Virginia and the District of Columbia, he has practiced commercial and construction litigation since 1984, primarily in the state courts of Virginia. He has practiced in Leesburg and Loudoun County since 1990. Bill has litigated and arbitrated a variety of commercial, real estate, and construction cases, including breaches of employment agreements, unfair competition, entity successor liability, breach of contract, fraudulent inducement, partnership accountings, mechanics lien filing and enforcement, fraudulent transfer, injunctions, prejudgment attachments, specific performance, fiduciary liability, brokerage commission disputes, shareholder disputes, fraudulent transfer, trade secret misappropriation, Uniform Commercial Code, bulk transfer claims, secured transactions, commercial collection, lender liability, breach of warranty, commercial landlord and tenant and easement and real estate claims. He has acted as local counsel in Loudoun for large out of area firms in a variety of cases. At the request of Loudoun Circuit Court judges, Bill has served both as a commissioner in chancery and as special commissioner of sale. He is active in his church parish, having served both as chairman and as a member for several years of the Pastoral Council. He volunteers as a reader at a local assisted living facility and he serves on the board of directors for a local crisis pregnancy center. |
