Michelle Dunne has a substantial background in tax matters.  Admitted to practice in Virginia and the United States Tax Court, Michelle also maintains inactive status with the California, Colorado and Texas bars.  Michelle has extensive federal tax controversy experience in audit, appeals and litigation, both in private practice and as a trial attorney with various District Counsel offices of the Internal Revenue Service.

Prior to coming to Atwill, Troxell & Leigh, P.C., she developed experience in general commercial and real estate matters in addition to tax and estate planning with a regional firm in Tysons Corner, Virginia. 

Michelle has additional experience participating in land use matters and has chaired the Land Use Committee of the Waterford Foundation, Inc., known for its preservation and planning activities in protecting a National Historic Landmark.
